The Lebanese and Syrian Community in Cape Breton has been in existence for almost one hundred years. This group of people possess a very rich culture and have made a proud contribution to life in Cape Breton during the twentieth century. This cookbook is dedicated to the memory of our ancestors who left the Middle East in the early 1900's in the hope of making a better life for us in Canada.
